Service Process and Customer Responsibilities

Item Acceptance

By submitting items for service, you represent that:

  • You are the rightful owner or authorized agent of the items
  • Items are free from contamination or hazardous materials
  • You have disclosed all known issues or previous treatments
  • You understand the inherent risks in leather care processes

Pre-Service Inspection

We conduct thorough inspections of all items before service. Any pre-existing damage, wear, or issues will be documented. Customers will be notified of significant concerns that may affect service outcomes.

Service Authorization

Services exceeding the original quote by more than 20% require customer authorization. We will contact you before proceeding with additional work. Failure to respond within 48 hours may result in service delays.

Item Pickup

Completed items must be picked up within 30 days of notification. Items not collected within 90 days may be considered abandoned and disposed of at our discretion. Storage fees may apply for extended holding periods.

Pricing and Payment Terms

Pricing

All prices are quoted in US dollars and are subject to change without notice. Quotes are valid for 30 days from the date of issue. Final pricing may vary based on actual service requirements discovered during processing.

Payment

Payment is due upon completion of services unless other arrangements have been made. We accept cash, check, and major credit cards. Items will not be released until payment is received in full.

Late Fees

Accounts not paid within 30 days of service completion may be subject to late fees of 1.5% per month or the maximum allowed by law, whichever is less.

Disputes

Payment disputes must be raised within 10 days of service completion. We will work in good faith to resolve any billing concerns promptly.

Service Limitations and Disclaimers

Inherent Risks

Leather care involves inherent risks including but not limited to:

  • Color variation or fading
  • Texture changes
  • Shrinkage or stretching
  • Incomplete stain removal
  • Discovery of hidden damage during cleaning

No Absolute Results

While we use professional techniques and exercise reasonable care, we cannot provide absolute results for all items. Outcomes depend on factors including leather type, age, condition, previous treatments, and the nature of damage or stains.

Vintage and Delicate Items

Vintage, antique, or extremely delicate items carry additional risks due to age, previous treatments, or material degradation. We will assess such items carefully but cannot be held responsible for age-related failures.

Third-Party Materials

We are not responsible for the failure of non-leather components such as linings, hardware, or decorative elements that may be affected by the cleaning process.

Liability and Insurance

Limitation of Liability

Our liability for any claim related to our services is limited to the lesser of:

  • The actual value of the item at the time of service
  • Ten times the service fee charged
  • $1,000 per item

Exclusions

We are not liable for:

  • Sentimental or emotional value
  • Consequential or indirect damages
  • Loss of use or business interruption
  • Items with undisclosed previous damage
  • Normal wear and aging of leather

Insurance Coverage

We maintain professional liability insurance for our operations. Coverage details are available upon request. Customers are encouraged to maintain their own insurance for valuable items.

Claims Process

All claims must be reported within 5 business days of item pickup. Claims not reported within this timeframe may not be considered. We require photographic evidence and detailed descriptions of claimed damage.
